Fly Designer: Bob Churchill


Bob is a Colorado native who lives in Lakewood, Colorado along with his wife Dorothy.  Between them, they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren.  Bob started tying flies and fly fishing at the age of 12.  He started tying professionally at the age of 28 and has accumulated a vast knowledge of fly fishing streams, lakes and rivers in the Rocky Mountain area.  Bob ties flies and is a fly fishing instructor for Blue Quill Angler in Evergreen, Colorado.  Bob is also an Orvis Endorsed Guide as well as a Whiting Farms Pro Team Member.  Bob has achieved numerous awards for his expertise in fly fishing including 1st place dry fly pattern in the 2000 Orvis Guide Rendezvous, 2nd place in the “Original Pattern” category in the 2002 Tie-A-Fly for Freedom Contest and 1st place in the Gunnison “Super Fly” contest in both 2001 and 2003.
